Fabric Coating

When used as a fabric coating material, silicone elastomers demonstrate just how dynamic the technology can be.

Elastosil silicones are available in solid rubbers, liquid rubbers, dispersions, RTV's, aqueous systems, resins, and foams.  Wacker has made it possible to take advantage of the properties of silicone regardless of your process type or your application.

Typical features include:

  •  Insulation from electrical breakdown or mechanical damage at extreme high or low temperatures

  •  Weather resistance in extreme conditions, making it suitable for coating architectural fabrics

  •  Elasticity over a wide temperature range, including extreme low temperatures, make it ideal for use in the manufacture of expansion joints and architectural textiles

  •  Flame retardancy also makes it ideal for welding blankets and architectural fabrics

Typical applications include but are not limited to:

  •  Fire and/or Welding blankets
  •  Panel Heaters
  •  Insulation Sleeves
  •  Expansion Joints
  •  Hospital Fabrics
  •  Conveyor Belts
